About Jim Prewitt

Jim Prewitt spent 8 years as morning host for ABC's Country Coast-to-Coast. "The Catfish for Breakfast Show" was heard on over 250 stations across the United States and around the world! Jim Prewitt has been nominated twice for Billboard Magazine's "Radio Personality of the Year" and as Program Director nominated for "Program Director of the Year" at the Bobby Poe Convention.

In 2004 Catfish Jim Prewitt was a nominee for the Texas Radio Hall Of Fame.

Jim Prewitt has also programmed or managed these top-rated stations: KZFM/KOUL/KEYS Corpus Christi, TX KITY San Antonio, TX, WKXX Birmingham, AL and KHQT San Jose, San Francisco, CA.

In 2007 Catfish inherited the 18th placed position at 101.9 The Wolf, Sacramento, CA and he quickly gained popularity in the afternoon slot. Within one year, Catfish took his 3-7 afternoon shift from 18th place to 5th place 25-54. Within two years he was beating the competing 20 year heritage country station, KNCI, in 18-34. After 3 successful years at The Wolf, new management came in and replaced everyone including Catfish. Afternoons is back down to 16th place.

*In addition Catfish Jim Prewitt was interim program director for the Wolf for 6 weeks. Prewitt delivered the Wolf it's best rating in the PPM in January of 2010.
